Air Lease Corporation Delivers New Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Air Premia

Air Lease Corporation has delivered a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to South Korean carrier Air Premia on a long-term lease agreement. The new aircraft features Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines and is the first of three 787-9s to be delivered to Air Premia this year.

On Wednesday (March 31, 2021), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the delivery of the first of three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners delivered on lease to South Korean carrier, Air Premia. The new aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines and has been delivered from ALC’s current order book with Boeing this year. Air Premia is a newly established Korean hybrid carrier focused on nonstop service between Seoul and international hubs. The innovative airline is committed to offering guests upscale service at reasonable prices. Air Premia will operate an exclusively state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, offering guests the latest and most advanced onboard flight experience.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Premia’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Peter JY Sim, said,


“Today, thanks to our great partnership with ALC, is a historic moment for the Korean Air Transportation Industry with the birth of our new hybrid service carrier: Air Premia. Our airline will soon bring hope and joy to those in dire thirst of a true journey with comfort and care.”
