Air Lease Corporation has delivered two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to China Southern Airlines. The aircraft feature GEnx-1B76A engines and are the fourth and fifth of five new 787-9s delivered to the carrier from ALC’s order book with Boeing.
On Wednesday (April 21, 2021), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the delivery of two new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to China Southern Airlines. The newly delivered aircraft are the fourth and fifth of five new Dreamliners delivered to the carrier from ALC’s order book with Boeing. China Southern’s new Boeing 787-9s are powered by GE Aviation GEnx-1B76A engines.
In Wednesday’s announcement, ALC’s Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Asia and President of Air Lease Corporation Hong Kong Limited, Jie Chen, said,
“We are pleased to announce that our fourth and fifth of five new Boeing 787-9s have delivered to China Southern Airlines. ALC is honored to contribute to our long-term customer’s continued success as one of Asia’s premier airlines.”

The airline was also the first in the world to operate the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
