On Thursday (December 16, 2021), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the delivery of two Airbus A350-1000s on long-term lease. One aircraft was delivered to Air Caraïbes and the other to French bee, both part of Groupe Dubreuil Aéro. The aircraft delivered Frenchbee is the carrier’s first A350-1000 in their all-A350 fleet. Both aircraft have been delivered from ALC’s orderbook with Airbus. In addition to the two new A350-1000s, Groupe Dubreuil Aéro currently has three Airbus A350-900s on lease from ALC.

In Thursday’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Steven F. Udvar-Házy, said,

“ALC is pleased to announce these two new A350-1000 deliveries to Groupe Dubreuil Aéro and be the first to introduce the aircraft type to Frenchbee. Air Caraïbes Atlantique and Frenchbee are excellent partners that continue to serve France, the French Caribbean, South Indian Ocean and Pacific markets with the most technologically advanced, fuel-efficient aircraft.”

French bee’s new Airbus A350-1000 features 480 seats in a two-class configuration with 40 Premium Class and 440 Economy Class seats. The aircraft has Airbus’ Airspace cabin which includes a state-of-the-art inflight entertainment (IFE) system with full Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the cabin. The A350-1000 is also the quietest of any twin-aisle aircraft.

Combined, these elements offer a 25 percent reduction in fuel burn and emissions, as well as a 50 percent reduction in noise footprint.
