As the official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Air France has unveiled a new advertising campaign, proudly welcoming all national delegates to France to celebrate the special events.
On Tuesday (April 16, 2024), Air France unveiled a new advertising campaign welcoming the world to Paris and France for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The new promotional campaign feature a young woman wearing makeup in the colors of the French flag, accompanied by the message ‘proud to welcome the world to France’ from all 39,000 Air France team members. The special makeup used to create the young woman’s look was the work of the famous French makeup artist, Carole Lasnier, and took over four hours for application. Olivier Rose, a talented French photographer known for his attention to detail, captured the portrait.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Air France’s SVP – Customer Experience, Fabien Pelous, said,
“We are committed to embodying the French art of hospitality, underpinning Air France’s raison d’être and forming an integral part of its DNA. With this campaign, we are reaching out to the world, to uphold the tradition of hospitality that our staff perpetuate every day with an unwavering focus on elegance and attention to detail. The values of openness, courage and pride that are characteristic of the Olympic discipline provide a formidable creative playground, and are perfectly in line with our brand territory. They will be the common thread running through all our communications around Air France’s partnership with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

This image of the woman’s face is used by the company, symbolizing France and Air France, in a nod to the allegories of Marianne and the French Republic. She will welcome the world and visitors throughout their journey, with a message in French and English, as well as in their own language. Her image is intended as the first point of contact as visitors arrive in Paris, with giant displays in the passenger Terminals at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports, and will accompany them throughout the festivities. She will also feature prominently at Air France lounges across France, and on billboards near the Olympic venues in Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Nantes. Additionally, this stunning visual will adorn the main façade of Air France’s headquarters at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, in a display covering over 1,000 square meters.
The advertising campaign will also be rolled out in the press and online, and in publications aimed at visitors such as the ‘special Olympic Games’, an English language guide published by l’Equipe. Created by Air France’s marketing agency, the campaign also supports the carrier’s advertising slogan, ‘Elegance is a journey. Air France.’
