On Tuesday (May 24, 2022), Air France announced that they will introduce a completely new La Première cabin for the winter 2023/2024 season, confirming the airline’s commitment to continue offering their most exclusive and elegant service. Today’s announcment follows Air France’s recent introduction of their new long-haul Business Class cabin. The future La Première cabin is currently in the design phase and will be the longest on the market with up to three modular configurations that can be fully privatized, with a seat, sofa and fully lie-fat bed.

In Tuesday’s announcment, Air France-KLM’s CEO, Benjamin Smith, said,

“La Première represents the highest level of French excellence and is an intrinsic part of Air France’s DNA. Even at the height of the Covid crisis, we could see the attractiveness of such an offer for our customers, particularly on the North Atlantic route, where load factors in the La Première cabin are currently higher than they were back in 2019. We look forward to unveiling this new cabin, which is set to meet the highest global standards.”

The new La Première cabin product is part of Air France’s strategy to move upmarket, which also includes fleet renewal, lounge renovations and the development of a more sustainable catering offer by Michelin-starred Chefs in the carrier’s Business and La Première cabins. Air France’s La Première suites were first introduced in 2014 and are currently available on select Boeing 777-300s serving top destinations in North America, South America, Africa and the Middle East.
