Air France-KLM Group's frequent flyer Program, Flying Blue, has introduced a new service called ‘Flying Blue Family.’ The new free online service allows any Flying Blue member over 18 to create a ‘Family’ and invite up to seven members to share miles.
On Tuesday (April 12, 2022), Air France announced that their Flying Blue frequent flyer program has introduced a new free online service called ‘Flying Blue Family.’ Any Flying Blue member over 18 can now create their own Flying Blue Family by inviting up to seven additional members. Then, the leader of the family can transfer Miles from the other accounts to his or her account at any time, thereby enjoying faster access to rewards and offers. A Flying Blue Family can include up to eight relatives, with a maximum of two adults and six children, and the service is now available on members’ online profiles on the Air France and KLM websites.
Flying Blue also offers additional benefits for kids and teens, such as a 25 percent discount on award tickets for children aged 2-11 traveling with an adult. Additionally, for members under 18 years old, Miles do not expire. Finally, members on parental leave are also permitted to extend their current Flying Blue status.
As part of the rollout of the new feature, Flying Blue has partnered with the advertising agency Isobar in the creation of a new ad campaign. The short film directed by Ugo Mangin humorously depicts family members struggling to agree on their next holiday destination, because when you share Miles, everyone must agree.
