Air France-KLM and IndiGo Implement Codeshare Partnership

Air France-KLM and IndiGo have officially implemented their new codeshare partnership. The agreement will provide connectivity to 30 destinations in India for Air France and KLM customers, and 120 European destinations and 50 in the Americas for IndiGo customers.

On Thursday (May 12, 2022), Air France-KLM announced the official implementation of their new codeshare partnership with IndiGo, which was originally announced in December 2021. Under the agreement, Air France and KLM customers will enjoy seamless connectivity to 30 new destinations across India, while IndiGo customers will enjoy access to 120 destinations in Europe and 50 destinations in the Americas. Air France, KLM and IndiGo flights can now be combined on a single reservation and Flying Blue loyalty program members can earn miles across all codeshared routes. Currently, Air France and KLM serve four destinations in India from their Paris and Amsterdam hubs including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.


In Thursday’s announcment, Air France-KLM’s DGA Commercial Sales, Henri de Peyrelongue, said,


“Air France-KLM is very proud to be the first major European airline group to initiate cooperation with IndiGo. This codeshare agreement will allow us to increase our local presence and to improve the connectivity of India - one of the fastest growing markets - with the rest of the world, via our hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol. This means an enriched network with no less than 30 new destinations in India, as well as many possible round trip combinations for business and leisure travel.”


Also commenting on the codeshare partnership launch, IndiGo’s CEO, Ronojoy Dutta, said,


“We are delighted to enter into a codeshare agreement with one of the most powerful airline groups in Europe: Air France-KLM. This partnership is fully in line with our ambition to strengthen our country's air connectivity while offering affordable fares. It will allow us to offer Air France-KLM customers a punctual, affordable, courteous and stress-free travel experience on board our aircraft to 30 exceptional Indian destinations.”
