Air Astana Resumes Flights From Almaty and Nur-Sultan to Antalya and Istanbul in Turkey

Air Astana announced on Tuesday the resumption of flights from Almaty and Nur-Sultan to both Antalya and Istanbul in Turkey over the next week. In September, the Almaty to Antalya route operate daily, while the Nur-Sultan to Antalya route will operate three times weekly.

On Tuesday (August 25, 2020), Air Astana announced the resumption of service to Turkey with service between Almaty and Nur-Sultan and both Antalya and Istanbul. The carrier will operate flights to Almaty and Antalya on August 29th and 30th and then increase the route frequency to daily in September with a Boeing 767. Service between Nur-Sultan and Antalya will operate on August 29th and then three-times weekly in September on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service between Nur-Sultan and Antalya will be operated with an Airbus A321LR.


The flight from Almaty will depart at 9:45 AM, arriving in Antalya at 12:40 PM, while the return flight departs Antalya at 2:10 PM and arrives in Almaty at 10:05 PM. The Nur-Sultan flight departs at 8:10 AM, arriving in Antalya at 10:25 AM, while the return flight departs Antalya at 11:55 AM and arrives in Nur-Sultan at 7:35 PM (all times local).


Services between Almaty and Istanbul will resume on August 30, 2020 and operate daily between September 1st through 16th, with frequent flights for the remainder of the month. The Nur-Sultan to Istanbul route will also be operated at a high frequency in September and all flights to Istanbul will be serviced with Airbus A320/321s. Additionally, Air Astana will offer twice-weekly service between Atyrau and Istanbul on Tuesdays and Fridays in September. All passengers arriving in Turkey will be required to undergo a health screening at the airport and those with a positive COVID-19 test will need to be hospitalized.
