Aeromexico Expands Global Network to Italy, Spain and Japan for Summer 2023

Starting March 25, 2023, Aeromexico will fly non-stop to Rome and resume daily service from Tokyo from Mexico City. Additionally, from March 27, 2023, the carrier will increase frequencies to Madrid from both Monterrey and Guadalajara.

On Monday (November 7, 2022), Aeromexico announced an expansion of their global network to Italy, Japan and Spain for summer 2023. From March 25, 2023, the carrier will offer direct service from Mexico City to Rome, as well as daily service to Tokyo. Flights between Mexico City and Rome will initially operate three times weekly, increasing to daily service from June 1st. Additionally, starting March 27th, the carrier will increase frequencies to Madrid from both Monterrey and Guadalajara to five weekly flights, increasing to daily service on June 1st, 2023. Aeromexico currently connects Mexico and Spain with 20 weekly flights from Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, which will increase to 28 weekly flights by June 2023.

With the added flights, Aeromexico’s European offer will increase by over 20 percent compared to summer 2022, with a total of 54 Mexico-Europe frequencies weekly, the most European service in the airline’s history. All European routes will be operated with state-of-the-art and fuel efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliners. By March 2023, Aeromexico will operate over 100 domestic and international routes. The expanded European schedule also provides additional capacity for Aeromexico Cargo, which has transported over 136,000 tons of freight over the past 12 months.

At the end of 2021, the carrier had a fleet of 118 aircraft, which will increase to 147 by the end of 2022.
