On Thursday (February 10, 2022), Aer Lingus announced the resumption of nonstop flights between Dublin and Miami, with two weekly flights from October 21st, increasing to three weekly flights from October 29, 2022. Miami will be the carrier’s second destination in Florida, as Aer Lingus restarted flights to Orlando in November 2021. Customers traveling with Aer Lingus can now enjoy nonstop flights from Ireland to 14 North American destinations, including New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, Washington D.C., Seattle and Philadelphia.

From February 25, 2022, Aer Lingus will be the only carrier offering nonstop flights between Ireland and the U.S. West Coast, with daily flights to San Francisco. Daily service to Los Angeles will start on May 12th, while five weekly flights to Seattle start on May 26th. Additionally, the carrier will offer 14 weekly flights from Shannon to Boston and New York from March 10, 2022. Guests flying with Aer Lingus to North America will enjoy complimentary meals and drinks, endless hours of inflight entertainment, and U.S. Customs and Border pre-clearance at Dublin and Shannon airports.

In Thursday’s announcement, Aer Lingus’ Vice President – U.S., Bill Byrne, said,

“We are delighted to be building back our US connectivity this year and there’s no doubt that travel is back for 2022. We are so happy to be flying to the US again, and this week we are delighted to be continuing to connect families, friends and businesses to Florida. Customers can look forward to our transatlantic in-flight food, drink, and entertainment services on board with top-class entertainment including the latest movie releases, TV boxsets, games and music. Along with Wi-fi and the PressReader app which offers passengers over 7,000 digital newspapers & magazines via their smart device.”

Aer Lingus has partnered with VeriFLY to simplify the travel experience. By downloading the VeriFLY app and uploading COVID-19 related documentation, Aer Lingus customers can ensure everything is verified before arrival at the airport for departure. The carrier’s ‘Book with Confidence’ policy also allows customers to change flights as many times as they want free of charge, up to seven days prior to travel (a fare difference may apply). Aer Lingus’ flexible booking policy is available on all booking through September 30, 2022. Additionally, most fares include the option to exchange for a guaranteed voucher up to 14 days before travel, and guests who book Advantage, Flex, Business or Business Flex fares have the option of a cash refund if they decide not to travel.
