Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus regional network, has today announced the launch of new year-round service between Dublin and Liverpool. The carrier is also starting new summer seasonal service between Dublin and Brest, Brittany in France.
On Wednesday (March 8, 2023), Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional services, announced the launch of new year-round service between Dublin and Liverpool. The route will be operated 11 times weekly, with double-daily service on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays starting April 27, 2023. Additionally, the carrier is launching new summer seasonal service between Dublin and Brest in the Brittany region of northwest France. Service to Brest will operate twice weekly throughout the summer from May 20, 2023.
In Wednesday’s route announcement, Emerald Airlines’ Head of Commercial, Ciarán Smith, said,
“Today’s announcement comes just in time for those planning their summer trips away. For customers looking for convenient travel options to and from Liverpool, or a direct, seamless route to the Northwest of France, Brest, we are happy to be providing you with more choice when planning your travels.”
Also commenting on the new service to Brittany, Brest Airport’s Director, Claude Arphexad, said,
“We are very happy to welcome the Emerald company to Brest airport and very proud to be their first destination in France. Dublin was a highly anticipated destination; we are delighted to be able to offer it to Bretons this summer.”
Dublin-based Emerald Airlines is Ireland’s newest regional carrier and the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus Regional route network. For summer 2023, Emerald Airlines will operate flights from both Dublin and Belfast City airports with nearly 600 weekly departures on 28 routes to and from 17 airports including Bristol, Birmingham, Cork, Exeter, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Isle of Man and Newquay, among others.
