AirAsia Celebrates Inaugural Flight From Kuala Lumpur to Da Lat, Vietnam

On Friday, AirAsia Announced the commencement of their new route from Kuala Lumpur to Da Lat, capital of Lam Dong province in Vietnam. The new route will be operated four times weekly.

Today, AirAsia celebrated their inaugural flight from Kuala Lumpur to Da Lat, Vietnam. The flight (AK571) departed Kuala Lumpur at 11:00AM this morning and arrived at Da Lat Lien Khuong Airport at 12:10PM (local time). This historic flight marks the first time an international airline has offered direct service between Kuala Lumpur and Da Lat, Vietnam. In Friday’s announcement, AirAsia’s Regional Commercial Head, Nattinee Tawanchulee said,

“We are excited to ass Da Lat as our latest destination and to further expand our footprint in Vietnam. This new direct service will provide additional air connectivity to the people of the Central Highlands of Vietnam to travel across the region, as well as introducing Da Lat as a holiday destination to the world. Also known as the City of Eternal Spring for its pleasant weather, Da Lat welcomes visitors all year round.”

AirAsia will offer service to Da Lat four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The departing flight (AK571) takes off from Kuala Lumpur at 11:00AM and arrives in Da Lat at 12:10PM local time. The return flight departs Da Lat at 12:40PM and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 3:45PM. The new service to Da Lat is AirAsia’s seventh Vietnamese route as the airline already services Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Can Tho and Phu Quoc.
