Frontier Airlines Starts New Nonstop Service From Atlanta to San José, Costa Rica

Frontier Airline has today started nonstop service between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Juan Santamaria International Airport in San José, Costa Rica. With the new service, Frontier now serves 34 nonstop destinations from Atlanta.

On Tuesday (November 15, 2022), Frontier Airlines announced the start of direct service between Atlanta (ATL) and San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). The route will operate three times weekly until January 2, 2023, and then twice weekly. Celebrating the launch of the new route, Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares from $99. To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EDT on November 20, 2022, for travel on select dates through February 28, 2023. Blackout dates include November 23, 27, 2022, December 22-23, 25-27, 30 2022, January 2-3, 2023 and February 13, 20, 2023). A three-day advance purchase is required, but a roundtrip booking is not. With the added service to San José, Costa Rica, Frontier now offers direct service from Atlanta to 34 destinations.


In today’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,


“We continue to expand our roster of international flights from Atlanta, bringing even more affordable travel options to area consumers via our ‘Low Fares Done Right.’ Costa Rica is a hugely popular international destination, and this new service provides a great option for escaping to Central America this winter.”
