Emirates Inaugural Service Between Dubai and Montréal takes Flight

Emirates has today launched their inaugural service between Dubai and Montréal, with flight EK243 departing with 340 passengers, including a VIP delegation, at 03:00 this morning.

On Wednesday (July 5, 2023), Emirates announced the launch of their inaugural between Dubai and Montréal with flight EK243 departing this morning at 03:00 with 340 passengers, including a VIP delegation. The route will operate daily, complementing the carrier’s seven weekly services to Toronto. Emirates’ executives onboard today’s inaugural flight to Montréal included Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Salem Obaidalla, SVP of Commercial Operations – Americas, and David Broz, Vice President Aeropolitical and Industry Affairs. Also present at the airport to bid farewell to the flight was His Excellency Radha Krishna Panday, Ambassador of Canada to the UAE.
The new Montréal service expands Emirates’ North American network to 14 destinations and a total of 18 across the Americas. Today’s maiden flight to Montréal was commanded by Captain Talal Al Hammadi (UAE National), Captain David Reny (Canadian), First Officer Omar Alhammadi (UAE National), and First Officer Veljko Veljovic (Canadian). The route will be serviced with a three class Boeing 777-300ER featuring eight private First Class seats, 42 lie-flat Business Class seats and over 300 spacious Economy Class seats.
