Vistara has launched nonstop service between Mumbai, India and Malé in the Republic of the Maldives. Vistara is the only carrier to offer three classes of service on the route including Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
On Wednesday (March 3, 2021) Vistara launched inaugural nonstop service between Mumbai, India and Malé in the Republic of the Maldives. The inaugural flight, operated with an Airbus A320neo, departed Mumbai at 10:10 IST and landed in Malé at 12:25 MVT (all times local). Vistara will operate the route three-tomes weekly and will be the only carrier offering three cabins on the route including Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class seats.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Vistara’s Chief Executive officer, Mr. Leslie Thng, said,
“Maldives is one of the most popular holiday destinations among travelers, not just in India, but from around the world. We are happy to be able to offer our customers the choice of flying their favourite and India’s best airline on this route. We are sure that Vistara will play an important role in making every customer’s holiday even more pleasant and memorable by giving them a world-class travel experience.”
Tata SIA Airlines Limited (Vistara) is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) with 51 and 49 percent equity ownership, respectively. Vistara is India’s highest rated airline, with top ratings on Skytrax and TripAdvisor as well as a 5-Star rating from APEX. In a short span of just six years, the carrier has distinguished itself for excellence in operations and service delivery. The carrier connects destinations across India and abroad with a fleet of 35 Airbus A320s, two Airbus A321neos, six Boeing 737-800NGs and two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Rapidly growing Vistara has flown more than 20 million customers since commencing operations on January 9, 2015.
