United Airlines to Increase Frequency on San Francisco to Shanghai Route to Four Flights Weekly

United Airlines announced on Tuesday that they will double the frequency of their flights between San Francisco and Shanghai from two to four flights weekly. From September 4, 2020, the carrier will operate flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

On Tuesday (August 18, 2020), United Airlines announced a doubling of their service between San Francisco and Shanghai. The carrier will offer four-times weekly service from September 4, 2020 and the route will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER. Flights between San Francisco and Shanghai will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and tickets will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, August 19th on the carrier’s website. In Tuesday’s announcement, United Airlines’ Vice President of International Network and Alliances, Patrick Quayle said,

“United has served mainland China for more than three decades and we look forward to continuing to connect customers traveling between the U.S. and Shanghai with two additional flights beginning in September.”
