As the official Team USA airline sponsor, United carries athletes along with their equipment and gear, while maintaining a dedicated reservations team dedicated to the team’s travel needs.
In today’s announcement, United Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Market and Community Innovation, Janet Lamkin, said,

Like the athletes we've flown over the years to compete on a global stage, United is an airline committed to doing the hard work to be the best and engage deeply in the communities we serve.”
The athletes selected for the ‘Time to Let Yourself Fly’ campaign were selected for their shared values of ambition, excellence, diversity and unity.
