The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) Partners With Kröner Medizintechnik

The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG), representing over 100 national and international airlines, has partnered with the renowned medical services provider Kröner Medizintechnik for new ‘Health Care’ networking section.

On Tuesday (March 16, 2021), The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG), representing the interests of over 100 national and international airlines, announced a new business partnership with renowned medical services provider Kröner Medizintechnik. With the successful introduction of safety and hygiene concepts for air traffic since the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic last year, the partnership will support BARIG’s new ‘Health Care’ networking section, allowing members to stay informed, get advice and access special expertise in the field.


Based in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, Kröner Medizintechnik has more than 25 years of expertise in in support and consulting in areas including medical practices, therapy centers, hospitals and universities. Due to the company’s competence, they represent leading German, Swiss, European and American Manufacturers.


In Tuesday’s announcement, BARIG’s Secretary General, Michael Hoppe, said,


“Already since the beginning of the pandemic, airlines and airports have been developing effective hygiene concepts, which they are constantly refining to protect passengers and employees. Thus, the air transport sector is well prepared when the recovery of travel will set in. Thanks to the expansion of the BARIG business partner network by the ‘Health Care’ section, airlines now have a further contact partner available with Kröner Medizintechnik.”


Also commenting on the new healthcare partnership, Kröner Medizintechnik’s CEO, Peter Kröner, added,


“We look forward to dialog with the airline representatives. We can assist them in a wide range of areas if required, such as medical face masks, air purification based on plasma technology, or COVID-19 rapid tests for employees and passengers.”


Founded in 1951, Frankfurt am Main-based BARIG (Board of Airline Representatives in Germany e.V.) represents over 100 national and international airlines in the scheduled, charter, low cost and air cargo sectors. The association works to improve conditions in the aviation industry in Germany and is the key industry contact for politics, authorities, industry and media.
