On Tuesday (September 1, 2020), Swoop announced their winter 2021/21 flight schedule with inaugural service from Toronto Pearson service starting October 25, 2020. The carrier will also resume operations at Kelowna International Airport and has added non-stop service to popular sunny destinations including flights between Toronto and Montego Bay, Cancun, Las Vegas, Orlando and Tampa Bay. In Tuesday’s announcement, Swoop’s President, Charles Duncan said,

“Our winter schedule is in response to a growing rebound in travel, as we know travellers are eager to plan their next getaway. We remain committed as ever to making affordable air travel accessible for Canadians who are looking to reconnect with family and friends over the holidays or are looking for a change in scenery this winter. It’s time to travel again, and that can be done responsible and safely. We are focusing our efforts on encouraging travel with our ability to provide ultra-low fares to price-sensitive travellers.”

Swoop has implemented a robust set of measures to protect the health and well-being of their customers and crew including stricter boarding practices, traveler screening measures, increased sanitization and mandatory facemasks. Tuesday’s announcement is the next step in Swoop’s recovery plans. The airline ramped up service in July and has since engaged airport partners across North and Central America. The carrier’s winter 2020/21 schedule will be operated between October 25, 2020 and April 24, 2021. Customers desiring added flexibility can purchase “ModiFly” which permits a one-time date and time change for their flight.
