Qatar Airways will resume service to Málaga from July 2, 2021, returning their Spain network to pre-pandemic levels with three destinations including Barcelona and Madrid. The carrier will offer twice-weekly service between Doha and Málaga on Fridays and Sundays.
On Wednesday (May 26, 2021) Qatar Airways announced the resumption of service between Doha and Málaga from July 2, 2021, marking the return of their Spanish network to pre-pandemic levels with three destinations including Barcelona and Madrid. Customers will also enjoy seamless connectivity across the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America with Qatar Airways’ strategic partner Iberia. The carrier will offer twice-weekly service to Málaga on Fridays and Sundays and the route will be operated with an Airbus A350-900, configured with 36 Business Class and 247 Economy Class seats. The seasonal service will operate through September 12, 2021. In total, Qatar Airways will operate 19 weekly flights to and from Spain with daily service to Barcelona, ten weekly flights to Madrid and the soon to resume twice-weekly service to Málaga.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,

Qatar Airways recently expanded their strategic partnership with fellow oneworld member Iberia. The expanded partnership increases from 29 to 36 the number of destinations available to Iberia customers on the Qatar Airways’ network including new destinations in Angola, Australia, Mozambique, New Zealand and South Africa. Guests of Qatar Airways will also benefit from seamless connections on Iberia’s network to additional destinations in Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala and Senegal. Additionally, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Iberia Plus loyalty members will enjoy reciprocal benefits such as status recognition, lounge access, through check-in, extra baggage allowance, priority check-in and boarding, as well as reciprocal accrual and redemption of miles.
