Qatar Airways to Offer Customers a Full Year of Flexibility in 2021

The airline is offering unlimited changes for travel completed in 2021 as well as fee-free refunds. Qatar Airways’ guests booking travel via the company’s website can also exchange their ticket for a travel voucher with a 10 percent bonus.

On Tuesday (December 2020), Qatar Airways announced added flexibility with unlimited date changes and fee-free refunds for all tickets booked by April 30, 2021, for travel through December 31, 2021. Additionally, customers who book their travel on the company’s website will be eligible to exchange their tickets for a travel voucher with 10 percent additional value. Customers wishing to exchange tickets for the enhanced travel voucher can apply online and they will receive their voucher within 48 hours.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,


“Throughout 2020, we have provided customers the ability to modify travel without penalties as a result of the disruption to global travel caused by COVID-19. As we look forward to the possibilities of travelling again next year, Qatar Airways will continue to be by our passengers’ side, offering continued flexibility throughout 2021 as the airline they can rely on.”


Qatar Airways continues to rebuild their network, which currently includes over 100 destinations and will increase to 126 destinations by March 2021. The carrier is committed to honoring passenger refunds and has paid out over USD $1.65 billion since March 2020. Qatar Airways’ guests traveling in 2021 can expect the highest levels of safety throughout their journey including PPE for cabin crew and a complimentary protective kit and disposable face shields for passengers.


Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the state of Qatar and currently operates over 700 weekly flights to more than 100 destinations, providing more flexible travel options to more global destinations than any other airline. The carrier was named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ in the 2019 World Airline Awards managed by Skytrax as well as the ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’ ‘World’s Best Business Class.’ Qatar Airways has also been awarded the title for ‘Best Business Class Seat’ in recognition of their ground-breaking Qsuite product which offers a spacious 1-2-1 seat layout. Additionally, the airline is the only carrier to have ever received the prestigious “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title five times. Qatar Airways normally serves over 170 global destinations with a fleet of more than 250 modern aircraft. The airline’s primary hub is located at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
