Porter Airlines launched new service between Montréal and Vancouver on Thursday (April 11th), marking the carrier’s first destination in Western Canada from Montréal. The route will now operate daily with a 132-seat Embraer E195-E2.
On Thursday (April 11, 2024), Porter Airlines announced the launch of inaugural service between Montréal and Vancouver, the airline’s first destination in Western Canada from Montréal. The route will now operate daily with a state-of-the-art 132-seat Embraer E195-E2. Porter guests enjoy free, fast Wi-Fi, premium snacks, and free beer and wine served in glassware. PorterReserve fares also include priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium mixed cocktails, and fresh, heathy meals. These ancillaries can also be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic fares.
In Thursday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ President, Kevin Jackson, said,
“Our presence in Montréal is continuing to grow directly through new Porter service and with our strategic airline partnerships. Our first western route from Montréal will take Porter’s elevated economy service to even more passengers across Canada and the globe.”

Vancouver International Airport’s Manager – Air Service development, Terry Chou, added,

Inbound customers to Montréal (YUL) will also enjoy seamless one-stop connections to a variety of other destinations, including Halifax, Toronto-Pearson and Toronto-City, complementing existing daily service between Toronto-Pearson and Ottawa to Vancouver. Thanks to Porter’s codeshare partnership with Air Transat, travelers can also enjoy convenient connections vis YUL to destinations throughout Europe, including Paris and London. Porter will also launch new service from Montréal to Edmonton and Calgary later this spring.
