Oman Air Announces Expanded Codeshare With Qatar Airways, Offering Enhanced U.S. Connectivity

Oman Air has expanded their codeshare partnership with Qatar Airways, providing enhanced connectivity via Doha to 10 U.S. destinations including New York, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Boston, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

On Thursday (April 15, 2021), Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, announced an expansion of their codeshare partnership with Qatar Airways. With the expanded codeshare, Oman Air’s guests will enjoy enhanced connectivity from Muscat, via Doha, to ten U.S. gateways including New York (JFK), Houston (IAH), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Dallas (DFW), Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO) and Washington, D.C. (IAD).


In Thursday’s announcement, Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Abdulaziz Al Raisi, said,


“Our enhanced codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways, an airline with remarkable reach and reputation around the world, facilitates travel between Oman and some of the most celebrated cities in the US while at the same time offering travellers from North America an easy way to connect to Oman’s breathtaking beauty, rich and diverse culture, and authentic hospitality.”

Commercial cooperation between Oman Air and Qatar Airways started in 2000, with the goal of substantially increasing the number of destinations available to guests of both airlines. Currently, Oman Air guests can fly to 66 additional points on the Qatar Airways’ network across Africa, the Americas, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, India and the Middle East. Qatar Airways’ customers also benefit from enhanced connectivity on Oman Air’s network with service to eight new destinations across Africa and Asia.
