Malaysia Airlines announced on Friday an increase of frequencies to the state of Sabah for September 2020. Additionally, MHholidays, the carrier’s tour operating subsidiary will offer ‘Kids Fly + Stay Free’ now through September 2, 2020.

On Friday (August 21, 2020), Malaysia Airlines announced that they will expand frequencies to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau in the state of Sabah for September 2020. The carrier will continue to monitor demand to Sabah and will periodically adjust capacity to guests wishing to visit the “Land Below the Wind.” Additionally, the carrier’s tour operating arm, MHholidays, is offering their ‘Kids Fly + Stay Free’ campaign between now and September 2, 2020, which offers 50% off holiday packages to Sabah, where every booking allows one child aged between 3 and 11 or an infant under two to fly and stay free at select hotels. Malaysia Airlines has implemented enhanced health and safety protocols in alignment with guidance from the World Health Organization, ICAO, IATA and the Ministry of Health of Malaysia (MOH). In Friday’s announcement, Malaysia Aviation Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Izham Ismail said,
“Malaysia Airlines is pleased to announce that we will be increasing our flight frequencies up to 8 times daily for direct flights to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau from Kuala Lumpur during this period. Please rest assured that the safety and well-being of passengers and employees is our utmost priority at all times. We have taken special care at all our customer touchpoints to ensure that visitors to the beautiful state of Sabah can ‘Fly Confidently’ and explore all of the amazing experiences it has to offer.”
