Lufthansa Group Appoints Jörg Eberhart as Chief Strategy Officer

The Lufthansa Group has appointed Jörg Eberhart as the company’s new Chief Strategy officer effective October 1st, 2021. Mr. Eberhart is currently the CEO of Air Dolomiti, and he will succeed William Wilms, who has been appointed to the Board of Lufthansa Technik.

On Friday (September 3, 2021), The Lufthansa Group announced the appointment of Jörg Eberhart as the company’s new Head of Strategy and Organizational Development effective October 1st, 2021. In his new role, Mr. Eberhart succeeds William Wilms, who was appointed to the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik on September 1st, 2021. Jörg Eberhart has served as the President and CEO of Air Dolomiti since 2014, and was also a member of Lufthansa CityLine’s Executive Board.


Mr. Eberhart previously held a number of management positions in the Lufthansa Group and was part of the establishment of Aerologic GmbH and the implementation of the SCORE project. He studied Business Administration at the University of Tübingen and holds a pilots license for the Airbus A320.
