Lufthansa Cargo has today announced the appointment of Oliver von Götz as Head of Global Fulfillment. Mr. von Götz, the former Head of Region Europe, assumed his new role on September 1st, succeeding Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt.
On Monday (September 30, 2024), Lufthansa Cargo announced the appointment of Oliver von Götz as Head of Global Fulfillment Management, succeeding Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt, who took over as Managing Director of Lufthansa Cargo subsidiary jettainer, the global market leader in unit load device (ULD) management services. Mr. von Götz previously served as Lufthansa Cargo’s Head of Region Europe, and officially assumed his new role on September 1st, 2024. Since the beginning of this month, he has been responsible for global warehousing, the further development of the production system, as well as customer service, and is also the key contact person for the relevant authorities.
In Monday’s announcement, Lufthansa Cargo’s Chief Operations Officer, Dietmar Focke, said,
“We are delighted that Oliver von Götz is now leading our Global Fulfillment Management team. He has the right experience to coordinate the many interfaces within the supply chain, to establish new, more efficient solutions and ultimately to enable optimal shipment processes for our customers.”
Oliver von Götz has 13 years of experience in the aviation industry across network management, strategy and sales. Prior to joining Lufthansa Cargo, he served as Head of Corporate Airline Strategy and Business Development at Lufthansa Airlines.
With revenue of €3.0 billion and 7.5 billion freight ton kilometers in 2023, Lufthansa Cargo is one of the world’s leading air freight companies, employing approximately 4,150 team members worldwide. The cargo carrier serves around 300 destinations in over 100 countries with a dedicated fleet of freighters, as well as belly-hold cargo capacity of passenger aircraft operated by Lufthansa German Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings Discover and SunExpress. This enables Lufthansa Cargo to offer customers capacity on up to 7,000 weekly flights to over 350 destinations worldwide. The company also operates an extensive road feeder service network.
