On Thursday (August 6, 2020), LOT Polish Airways announced that they will resume service from Warsaw (WAW) to Bydgoszcz (BZG) and Lublin (LUZ) from September 1st, 2020. LOT currently offers 150 connections and during September will increase the frequency of flights on regular European routes with several weekly flights to Larnaca or Nice and around a dozen flights to high-demand destinations such as Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris and London. Additionally, the airline will increase frequencies to Brussels, Prague, Budapest and Vilnius to nearly 20 per week. LOT further plans to resume service to Beijing and Delhi in September and has already announced the resumption of flights between Warsaw and Dublin as well as between Wroclaw and Budapest. In Thursday’s announcement, Lot Polish Airlines’ Deputy Director of Corporate Communications and Spokesperson, Krzysztof Moczulski said,

“After the harsh period of restrictions caused by the spread of coronavirus, thanks to our staff members’ effort and passengers’ enormous goodwill, we can consistently widen the offer of flights. Within less than three months from the time of renewal of regular air operations, we successively restore flights from the Warsaw hub to all domestic ports to which we used to fly before the outbreak of the pandemic. Reestablishment of direct flights to Bydgoszcz and Lublin is a noteworthy offer for residents of Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Lubelskie Voivodeships, who can benefit from convenient changes again at Chopin Airport for a number of attractive flights of LOT.”

The flights between Warsaw and Bydgoszcz (LO 3991) will operate daily except Saturdays and will depart at 11:10 PM, arriving Bydgoszcz at 11:55 PM. The return flight (LO 3992) will operate daily except Sundays, departing BZG at 5:40 AM and arriving WAW at 6:30 AM. Service between Warsaw and Lublin (LO 3969) will operate daily except Saturdays, departing WAW at 11:10 PM and arriving LUZ at 11:55 PM, while the return flight (LO 3970) will operate daily except Sundays, departing LUZ at 5:40 AM and arriving WAW at 6:30 AM.

With ever-changing regulations, LOT reminds guests to review all restrictions imposed by their destination countries prior to booking tickets. Current information regarding travel restrictions are available on the website for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) or at https://reopen.europa.eu/pl/. To provide additional flexibility when booking tickets, LOT has introduced a new ‘Flex Plus’ fare which includes free departure date changes (up to 48 hours prior to departure) as well as the option to return tickets within 24 hours of purchase.
