LOT Polish Airlines announced on Friday the launch of a new route on their summer 2020 schedule with service between Rzeszów and Szczecin. The twice-weekly service will commence on July 16, 2020 and the route will be operated with Bombardier Q400s.
On Wednesday (July 8, 2020), LOT Polish Airlines announced the launch of a new domestic route between Rzeszów and Szczecin starting July 16, 2020. The twice-weekly flights will operate on Mondays and Thursdays and the route will be serviced with a Bombardier Q400 (now De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400) turboprop aircraft. The new route will be LOT’s fourth inter-regional direct connection.
LOT Polish Airlines relaunched flights in early June 2020 after several months of suspension due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The first phase of reopening included a broad range of domestic flights including service from Warsaw to Kraków, Gdańsk, Zielona Góra, Wrocław, Poznań, Szczecin and Rzeszów. The carrier also resumed service from Kraków to Gdańsk and Olsztyn and between Rzeszów to Gdańsk. Additionally, since July 3, 2020 LOT has been operating direct international flights from regional airports and resumed service from regional airports in Bydgoszcz, Lublin and Kraków. The carrier now operates flights from 11 Polish regional airports. Customers can now book tickets on the new Rzeszów-Szczecin route from PLN 99 one-way, not including baggage.
