Jetstar Airways announced Thursday a new codeshare agreement with KLM, building on Qantas’ existing partnership. Jetstar Asia will codeshare with both Air France and KLM on 12 Asian routes.
Building on the recently announced expansion of Qantas’ codeshare partnership with Air France-KLM, Jetstar Airways announced that they will be launching a codeshare partnership with KLM as well. Jetstar Asia will now codeshare with both Air France and KLM on 12 Asian routes allowing Air France and KLM customers to connect in Denpasar and Singapore. With the new codeshare partnership, Air France-KLM customers booked on a single itinerary will receive complimentary meals and beverages when traveling on Jetstar Airways or Jetstar Asia. In Thursday’s announcement, Jetstar Asia’s CEO, Bara Pasupathi said,
“It is always great to find new opportunities to be able to offer our incredible network to more customers who are looking to explore Southeast Asia and Australia. Changi’s world-class facilities make Singapore the leading choice for customers connecting between Europe and Southeast Asia and Australia.”
Air France and KLM have placed their KL/AF codes on Jetstar Asia flights to Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Denpasar, Medan, Surabaya, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Phuket, Yangon and Darwin. KLM will also place their KL code on Jetstar Airways flights to four Australian destinations including Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
