Iberia and Aeromar have renewed their interline agreement, offering seamless connectivity between Iberia’s nearly 100 European destinations with 18 cities in Mexico served by Aeromar. Customers will continue to enjoy reserving their itinerary on a single ticket.

On Tuesday (September 28, 2021), Iberia announced the renewal of their interline agreement with the Mexican regional carrier Aeromar. Customers will continue to enjoy seamless connectivity on a single ticket from Iberia’s European network of nearly 100 cities to 18 destinations served by Aeromar in Mexico. Iberia offers direct service between Madrid and Mexico City, with onward connections on Aeromar’s network to Acapulco, Aguascalientes, Ciudad Victoria, Colima, Guadalajara, La Paz, Mazatlán, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Ixtepec, Monterrey, Piedras Negras, Puerto Escondido, Puerto Vallarta, San Luis Potosí, Tepic, Veracruz and Torreón, as well as two in the United States, Laredo and McAllen Texas.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Iberia’s Director of Latin American Sales and Institutional Agreements, Víctor Moneo, said,
“At Iberia, we have always opted for Mexico as one of our strategic markets both from the point of view of tourism and business traffic. Since September, we have increased the frequencies to 14 weekly flights which, added to the agreement with Aeromar, allows us to offer a better service to our clients and a wide range of destinations within the country. All of this reinforces our commitment to this market and favors the flow of travelers and tourism between Mexico and Spain.”
Also commenting on the renewed interline agreement, Aeromar’s Director of Network Strategy and Alliances, Fabricio Cojuc, said,

Iberia operates their route between Madrid and Mexico City with a 348 seat Airbus A350-900, featuring 31 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy and 293 Economy Class seats. Guests traveling on the state-of-the-art aircraft will enjoy high speed Wi-Fi, panoramic windows and a spacious cabin.
Founded in 1987, Mexico City-based Aeromar is Mexico’s most experienced regional airline. The carrier operates a network of 18 domestic routes in Mexico and two international routes to Texas in the U.S. (Laredo and McAllen). Aeromar operates a fleet of 10 ATR 42 and 72 aircraft, nine of which are the new generation 600 series.
