On Wednesday (June 9, 2021), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of twice-weekly service between Denver International Airport (DEN) in Colorado and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) in Alaska. To celebrate the new route, the carrier is offering introductory one-way fares from $99. To qualify for the special fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 14, 2021. Fares are valid to Anchorage on Saturday and from Anchorage on Thursday through July 31, 2021. Although a roundtrip purchase is not required, a three-day advance purchase is necessary and blackout dates include June 24th, July 1st and July 3rd.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Vice President of Marketing, Tyri Squyres, said,

“We’re excited to arrive in Anchorage with convenient, nonstop flights to Denver. Offering this new Frontier service to The Last Frontier means travelers now have an affordable and friendly option to experience Alaska’s wonderous scenery and plethora of activities this summer. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors onboard and building on our positive relationship with the airport and community.”

Also commenting on the new service, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport’s Director, Jim Szczesniak, added,

“The return of Frontier is great news for Alaska. The airport has been working very hard to return capacity lost during the pandemic and we appreciate Frontier’s new service. This new service will bring in additional tourists to help Alaska’s economy. Also, the service is coming online just in time for Alaskans to take advantage of their excellent price point this summer, and I know many Alaskans will be headed down south on Frontier as well.”

Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC) is committed to “Low Fares Done Right.” The Denver-based carrier operates over 100 Airbus A320 Family aircraft and has the largest Airbus A320neo fleet in the U.S., delivering the highest level of fuel-efficiency and noise footprint reduction compared to previous generation models. Frontier offers customers the ability to customize travel to their needs and budget, including base fares, a-la-carte options and one low-priced bundle called the WORKS.

Frontier’s commitment to families includes their ‘Discount Den’ travel club which allows children 14 years and younger to fly free on qualifying flights. The airline’s family friendly FRONTIER Miles loyalty program allows guests to earn one mile for every mile flown and permits the family pooling of miles, making it easier to earn rewards. Frontier currently has around 150 new Airbus aircraft on order, which will continue to deliver on their mission of providing affordable travel across America and beyond.
