From July 2, 2023, Etihad Airways will launch new service between Abu Dhabi and Lisbon. The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. The carrier will also resume seasonal service to Málaga and Mykonos in June.
On Thursday (February 16, 2023), Etihad Airways announced the launch of new service between Abu Dhabi and Lisbon, Portugal. The route will be operated three times weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays starting July 2, 2023. Additionally, the carrier will resume summer seasonal service to Málaga on the Spanish Costa del Sol, as well as to the popular Greek island of Mykonos. Málaga flights will be offered twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays from June 18, 2023, while service to Mykonos will be offered twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays starting June 16, 2023.
In Thursday’s announcement, Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer, Antonoaldo Neves, said,

Our new direct connection will enhance the trade and tourism ties between the UAE and Portugal, and we are grateful for the support of the Portuguese authorities in establishing our new air link.”

Including the new and resumed destinations, Etihad Airways will offer nearly 160 weekly flights to 21 European destinations for summer 2023, with 20 percent more seats compared to last year.
