Embraer Delivers Their 1,600th Ipanema Agricultural Aircraft

Embraer has today announced the milestone delivery of their 1,600th Ipanema, the company’s popular agricultural airplane.  On growing demand, Embraer delivered 65 Ipanema aircraft in 2023, an 18 percent year-over-year increase.

On Monday (January 15, 2024), Embraer announced the milestone 1,600th delivery of their Ipanema agricultural airplane.  The company’s Agricultural Aviation Division delivered 65 Ipanema’s in 2023, up 18 percent compared to 2022, and Embraer expects to maintain this growth rate in 2024 with the delivery of 70 of the popular aircraft type. The Ipanema boasts an impressive five decades of uninterrupted production, with the latest version, the EMB-203 model introduced in 2020.


In Monday’s announcement, Embraer’s Ipanema Program Manager, Sany Onofre, said,


“Agribusiness has a significant positive impact on Brazil's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and we are very pleased to see how the Ipanema has contributed to the sector's high productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.”


As Brazil’s leader in the aerial applications market, the Ipanema offers innovations and improvements that deliver low operation costs and carbon emissions.  Additionally, the Ipanema is the only agricultural airplane certified and produced in series to fly on ethanol.
