For the third year in a row, Edelweiss will continue their partnership as the official airline of the Alfa Romeo F1 Team. The season starts in Bahrain on March 5, 2023, and Edelweiss will also carry the team to Las Vegas in November, among other scheduled races.
On Monday (February 20, 2023), Edelweiss announced that they will continue on for the third year in a row as the official airline of the Alfa Romer F1 Team. Edelweiss will offer direct charter flights from Zurich to the F1 Grand Prix race tracks within reach of their Airbus A320 fleet. The airline’s partnership with the team started in 2021, when the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN was looking for a Swiss partner during the pandemic. The season starts on March 5, 2023 in Bahrain, and the airline will also carry the team on a regularly scheduled flight to Las Vegas for the second to last stop on the schedule, which will be held from November 16-18, 2023. The Las Vegas race will be held on a 3.8-mile course on the world famous Las Vegas Strip, right in the neon heart of the city. Edelweiss will offer at least two weekly nonstop flights betwen Zurich and Las Vegas until the end of November.
In today’s announcement, Edelweiss’ Chief Commercial Officer, Patrick Heymann, said,
“I am extremely pleased and proud that Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake has again placed their trust in us this year. Moreover, it is important for me to mention that the team has been climate neutral since 2011 and that our flights are also compensated.”
