Delta Air Lines Expands Service From Boston and New York to Popular Destinations

Delta Air Lines is adding new service from Boston to Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth and Toronto, as well flights between New York-LGA and Toronto. The carrier is also expanding Airbus A220 service and offering lie-flat seats on all Boston-Los Angeles flights.

On Friday (May 14, 2021), Delta Air Lines announced an expansion in service from Boston and New York to popular destinations. The carrier is adding new service from Boston (BOS) to three of the largest markets including Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth and Toronto. From New York’s La Guardia Airport (LGA) the carrier is launching new service to Toronto. Starting July 7th, Delta is also upgrading service from Boston to Los Angeles to a 757, featuring the lie-flat Delta One cabin. From October 4, 2020, the carrier will offer twice-daily A220-100 service between Boston and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), as well as three-times daily flights from Boston to Charlotte (CLT) with Embraer E175s. Service between Boston and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) will also be upgraded to an Airbus A220-100, marking the aircraft’s first appearance at CVG since joining Delta’s fleet in 2019.


In Friday’s announcement, Delta Air Lines’ Senior Vice President – Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said,


“As demand grows, our commitment to Boston and New York is stronger than ever, which is why we’re continuing to invest in these communities to offer more nonstops and greater connectivity to top markets. While the global recovery from the pandemic is underway and more travelers take to the skies, Delta is ready to keep delivering the exceptional service and products that our customers expect.”


As previously mentioned, Delta is launching new nonstop service to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) from both Boston and New York-LGA. Twice-daily service between LGA and Toronto will launch on August 5th, while three-times daily service between Boston and Toronto will start on October 4, 2021. Both routes will be operated with Embraer E175s.
