Air Serbia to Launch Direct Seasonal Service to the Greek Islands for Summer 2023

For summer 2023, Air Serbia will launch new direct seasonal service to the Greek islands of Rhodes and Corfu, as well as to Heraklion and Chania on the island of Crete. The routes will be operated with an Airbus A320 with one-way fares from €99.

On Tuesday (December 13, 2022), Air Serbia announced the launch of new seasonal service to the Greek islands for summer 2023. The carrier will offer flights to Rhodes and Corfu, as well as to Heraklion and Chania, the two largest cities on the island of Crete. Air Serbia will start service between Belgrade and Heraklion, Crete on April 28, 2023, with four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Service to Chania, Crete will launch on June 4th with up to three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. From June 5th, Air Serbia will also start service to Rhodes, which will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Finally, the carrier will start Belgrade-Corfu flights on June 9, 2023 with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.


In today’s announcement, Air Serbia’s Head of Network Planning and Scheduling, Bojan Aranđelović, said,


“Greece is one of the famous tourist destinations, and the demand for flights to Greek islands is extremely high during the summer season. By listening to the needs of passengers, we have decided to add some of the most popular charter flights to our scheduled services. With our direct flights, the favorite holiday destinations in Crete, Rhodes and Corfu are now even closer to Serbia, while the excellent connections via Belgrade will provide even more opportunities for passengers to reach the most beautiful beaches in Europe throughout our network.”

Air Serbia was launched under their current name in October 2013, as the national airline of the Republic of Serbia. The carrier offers service from Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo to 60 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North America and Africa with both passenger and cargo flights. Air Serbia also offers service to Asia, Australia, North America and Africa via codeshare partners. The airline’s fleet consists of 19 aircraft, including one Airbus A330, 12 Airbus A320 Family and six ATR-72 Family turboprop aircraft.
