From July through October 2023, Air France will continue to promote fine French dining onboard with a new series of summer dishes on departure from Paris in the long-haul and Business Class cabins.
On Thursday (July 6, 2023), Air France announced the introduction of a new range of fine French dining selections for La Première and Business Class guests traveling on long-haul flights departing Paris. From July through October 2023customers will enjoy dishes created by renowned French Michelin-starred chefs Régis Marcon, and for the first time, Thierry Marx. The chefs will be collaborating with Meilleur Ouvrier de France Pastry Chef Philippe Urraca to create delicious meals for the carrier’s customers. The chefs have worked in partnership with Servair, the world leader in in-flight catering, to create seasonal dishes with a focus on fresh, local produce, as well as meat, poultry, dairy products and eggs all sourced in France. Additionally, the fish comes from sustainable fisheries and vegetarian options are available in all cabins.
Business Class guests will enjoy culinary creations designed in collaboration with Thierry Marx, a renowned chef with two Michelin stars. He has created unique dishes inspired by the diversity of France’s rich culinary heritage. Above all, Chef Marx’s menu focuses on plant-based ingredients in a ‘flexitarian’ approach.
Speaking on the culinary collaboration with Air France, Chef Thierry Marx said,
“Just like travelling, cuisine brings people together. These are values that I share with Air France for its customers’ pleasure.”
Chef Marx has created a total of eight dishes, described below, which will be available over the next four months.
As part of Air France’s fight against food waste, Business Class guests have the option of pre-ordering their preferred hot dish up to 24 hours prior to departure. This combines a guarantee of the guest’s first meal choice with fairer onboard consumption.
