Today, Aerolíneas Argentinas announced a major schedule expansion with three new domestic routes and increased frequencies to 40 destinations. The carrier’s new domestic routes include service between Bariloche and San Pablo and Mendoza as well as Iguazú and Resistencia. Friday’s announcement took place at Casa Rosada in an event attended by Aerolíneas Argentinas’ President, Pablo Ceriani as well as Argentina's Minister of Transport, Mario Meoni and other dignitaries. The goal of the schedule expansion is to promote domestic connectivity with a focus on creating reciprocal tourism between Argentinian regions and cities. Speaking at Friday’s event, Mr. Ceriani said,

“This new schedule bets on federal connectivity as a tool for the development of regional economies and the growth of domestic and receptive tourism. Aerolíneas Argentinas is the cornerstone needed to carry out the changes that our country needs.”

Also speaking on the carrier’s schedule expansion, Argentina’s Minister of Transport, Mario Meoni added,

“Generating economic activities throughout the country always brings about key earnings, since ultimately, Aerolíneas Argentinas’ resources are the Government’s resources. We are not only analyzing the point of view of Aerolíneas Argentinas from the profit and loss perspective, but also the perspective of generating meaningful economic activities, which is what Pablo Ceriani is clearly doing with his leadership of the company.”
