Yesterday, Vietjet celebrated the delivery of two new Airbus A321neos at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With the delivery of the new aircraft, registration numbers VN-A521 and VN-542, the airline now has 80 aircraft. One of the newly delivered aircraft is a high capacity Airbus A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex) model which can accommodate 240 passengers. The added capacity will allow the airline to accommodate more passengers during the busy Tet Lunar New Year holiday season.

Vietjet’s new aircraft have leather seats as well as a premium new cabin design, and the A321neo ACF is the airline’s third aircraft configured in the high capacity (240 passenger) format. The A321neo promises a 16% fuel reduction, 75% noise reduction and an emissions reduction of 50% compared to previous generation models.

Vietjet operates one of the youngest fleets in the world with an average aircraft age of 2.7 years and serves 130 routes domestically in Vietnam and internationally to India, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, China, Indonesia and Cambodia. Since the low-cost carrier's launch in December 2011, they have transported over 100M passengers.
