STARLUX Airlines to Launch New Service to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

STARLUX Airlines will launch three weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam from May 13, 2021. The new route is in addition to recently added service to Narita, Osaka, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

On Wednesday (March 24, 2021), STARLUX Airlines announced new service to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with three weekly flights from May 13, 2021. The carrier’s newest Asian destination follows the recent introduction of service to Tokyo-Narita, Osaka, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s largest and most populated city and is the country’s economic and cultural center. STARLUX is introducing the new route based on increasing business travel and cargo demand. When the carrier adds North American service in the future, the airline will provide seamless connectivity to Vietnam via Taipei.

Currently, STARLUX is offering flights between Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport to Macau, Penang, Bangkok, Osaka, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur utilizing their Airbus A321neo fleet. The airline’s A321neos are configured with 188 seats including eight Business and 180 Economy class seats. Business Class seats transform into an 82-inch fully lie-flat bed and every Economy seat features a personal inflight entertainment (IFE) system.

The cabin interior of the carrier’s aircraft was designed by BMW Group Designworks and feature natural, warm colors to evoke a sense of being at home. Business Class guests traveling on flights departing Taoyuan will enjoy specially prepared meals from the Michelin Taiwanese restaurant “Longtail.” Economy Class customers are treated to a menu created by “Hutong,” a renowned Japanese-style grilled meat restaurant in Taiwan. In the coming year, STARLUX plans on adding seven additional Airbus A321neos, as well as their first Airbus A330-900.
