Royal Jordanian Reveals New Petra-Inspired Boeing 787 Dreamliner Livery

Royal Jordanian has unveiled a new Petra-inspired Boeing 787 Dreamliner livery, projecting Jordan to the world as an attractive tourism destination. The project was implemented in partnership with the Jordan Tourism Board to promote the red-rose city.

On Sunday (October 17, 2021), Royal Jordanian, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Jordan, unveiled a new Petra-inspired Boeing 787 Dreamliner to promote Jordan as an attractive tourist destination. The project was implemented in partnership with the Jordan Tourism Board to promote the red-rose city of Petra, a unique landmark in Jordan, and brought together HRH Dana Firas, the President of the Petra National Trust and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, RJ Chairman of the Board Said Darwazeh and RJ Vice Chairman and CEO Samer Majali.

In Sunday’s announcement, Royal Jordanian’s Vice Chairman and CEO, Samer Majali, said,

“Since its establishment, 58 years ago, RJ has assumed the responsibility of promoting Jordan's tourism at home and abroad. RJ feels it is its duty, as a national carrier, to act as a bridge that connects Jordan to the world, and thus it has become the roving ambassador of Jordan.”

During the reveal of the special liveried aircraft, Royal Jordanian also announced improvements to their onboard Economy Class menu with selections including international, Oriental, Mexican and Italian choices. The menu, designed in partnership with Dnata catering services, will change every two weeks and according to destination. Crown Class guests will continue to be offered a diverse menu of hot meals on all routes.
