Lufthansa Launches Additional For Purchase Snacks in Economy and Premium Economy Class on Long-Haul Flights

On Tuesday (November 23, 2021), Lufthansa announced that they will be extending their range of high-quality snacks and spirits available for purchase by Economy and Premium Economy Class guests on long-haul flights from December 1st, 2021. The for-purchase offer will include international and regional products for every taste and is in addition to the complimentary main meals and snacks. The carrier’s new offer is in response to the different needs of guests when it comes to choosing food and beverages onboard, especially between meals.

From December 1st, the new service will initially be introduced on 37 long-haul routes to North America, South America, Asia and South Africa, and will be available on all intercontinental flights from spring 2022. The product range is offered under the name Onboard Delights and is based on Lufthansa’s successful short-haul offer rolled out in May 2021, which has become very popular with guests. Some examples of the quality regional snack items available include Baumkuchen from Dallmayr, kettle chips made from organic potatoes, and the Share organic nut bar. With every Share organic nut bar purchase, one meal is donated to the Sunshine Project in India, which is supported by the help alliance of the Lufthansa Group. The beverage menu includes champagne and a variety of distilled spirits.
