Lufthansa Announces New Nonstop Service Between Frankfurt and Calgary, Canada

Lufthansa announced on Wednesday the launch of new nonstop service between Frankfurt and Calgary from June 1, 2020. The four-times weekly service will operate in cooperation with Eurowings and the routes will be serviced with an Airbus A330-200.

Today, Lufthansa announced an expansion of their offer to Canada with new service from Frankfurt to Calgary. The seasonal service will be offered in cooperation with Eurowings and the four-times weekly service will be operated with an Airbus A330-200. With the addition of Calgary, Lufthansa will now serve five Canadian destinations from Frankfurt for summer 2020 including Ottawa, Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver. Located in southwest Canada, Calgary is a popular tourist destination and gateway to the province of Alberta and famous Banff and Jasper National Parks in the Rocky Mountains.

The four-times weekly service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with the departing flight (LH5452) taking off from Frankfurt at 9:50AM and arriving in Calgary at 11:55AM local time. The return flight (LH5453) departs Calgary at 1:45PM and arrives in Frankfurt at 7:20 AM the next morning. The route will be serviced with a 270 seat Airbus A330-200 configured with Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins.

The Lufthansa Group also offers many additional travel opportunities to Canada with group carriers Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Edelweiss and Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), as well as their joint-venture partner Air Canada. Flights between Frankfurt and Calgary are available for booking today (February 26, 2020), for travel commencing June 1, 2020.
