Lion Air Group Affirms Operating Status, Continues to Operate and Serve Scheduled Flights

Considering some inaccurate reporting regarding their operating status, Lion Air affirmed on Monday that the carrier and subsidiaries Wings Air and Batik Air continue to operate serving domestic routes throughout Indonesia.

The Lion Air Group announced on Monday (July 6, 2020) that the Group’s carriers, Lion Air, Wings Air and Batik Air continue to operate and serve scheduled flights. Apparently, some inaccurate information stating that the Group has stopped operating has been circulating and the company wants to confirm that scheduled flight services to and from major domestic cities, districts and regions are currently in operation. The carrier will resume additional routes as demand returns and is optimistic that travel trends are moving in the right direction. Lion Air and subsidiaries continue to operate flights to and from major cities, districts and regions including Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport and the destinations listed below.

The Lion Air Group complies with all health and safety protocols in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and all aircraft are subject to enhanced sterilization and cleaning procedures. Currently, the Group operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800NG, 737-900ER, Airbus A320-200ceo, A320-200neo, A330-300ceo, A330-900neo as well as ATR 72-500 and 72-600 aircraft.
