For the summer 2024 season, which begins March 31st, Korean Air will expand international service, while resuming services to four cities in China, Europe and Southeast Asia.
On Monday (March 18, 2024), Korean Air announced an expansion of their international flying program for summer 2024 with added frequencies and resumed service to four cities in China, Europe and Southeast Asia. The summer season officially starts on March 31st, and the carrier plans on operating 96 percent of pre-pandemic capacity, as measured by available seat kilometers (ASK). Starting April 2nd, Korean Air will resume service between Seoul-Incheon and Zurich with three weekly flights. On April 23rd, the carrier will also resume three weekly flights between Incheon and Zhangjiajie, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Additionally, Korean Air will resume service between Seoul-Incheon and Zhengzhou with four weekly flights from April 24, 2024. Daily Busan-Bangkok flights will also restart on April 25, 2024.
With increasing demand, Korean Air will increase frequencies on select routes in Europe, Southeast Asia and North America. Flight frequencies on the Seoul Incheon-Budapest route will be increased from three to four weekly flights, while Incheon-Bangkok service will increase from three to four weekly flights. Additionally, Korean Air added two additional weekly frequencies between Seoul Incheon and Bali last January, for a total of 11 weekly flights. For North America, the carrier will increase frequencies between Incheon and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (U.S.) from four weekly flights to daily service.
