KLM announced a new Codeshare with Scottish regional carrier Loganair which will provide access to the Scottish islands for their guests and provide seamless connectivity for customers of Loganair to KLM’s extensive global network.
Today (March 4, 2020), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced a new codeshare agreement with Scottish regional carrier Loganair. The agreement adds the Scottish islands to KLM’s network and will connect Loganair’s guests to KLM’s extensive network via Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. Both airlines currently offer joint flights to Orkney Island, the Shetland Islands and the Scottish Western Isles. The new codeshare is effective March 29, 2020 and will offer a network extension for both carriers, giving their mutual customers exciting new travel opportunities. In Wednesday’s announcement, KLM’s Director of Alliances, Jan Vreeburg said,
“We look forward to working with Loganair, which we are strengthening our network in the northern part of the united Kingdom. We have found a very reliable partner in Loganair, with whom we can offer passengers more transfer options and extra destinations in this beautiful part of Scotland.”
Also commenting on Wednesday’s announcement, Loganair’s Chief Commercial Officer, Kay Ryan added,
“We have a great working relationship with KLM and this codeshare agreement is a natural progression. We look forward to bringing many more KLM passengers to connect on our flights with the opportunity to visit our highlands, islands and wider Loganair network.”
