JetBlue Appoints Susan Pfingstler as Vice President of JetBlue University

JetBlue has named Susan Pfingstler as the new Vice President of JetBlue University. In her new role, Pfingstler will oversee the carrier’s training programs and facilities, reporting to Warren Christie, Head of Safety, Security, Fleet Operations and JetBlue University.

On Monday (July 24, 2023), JetBlue announced the appointment of Susan Pfingstler as Vice President of JetBlue University, reporting to Warren Christie, Head of Safety, Security, Fleet Operations and JetBlue University. In her new role, Ms. Pfingstler will oversee the airline’s training programs and facilities, with locations in Orlando, New York and Salt Lake City. JetBlue University provides new hire and recurrent training for the carrier’s airports, reservations, flight operations, inflight, system operations and maintenance team members, as well as pilot training services for a variety of other airlines worldwide.

In Monday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Warren Christie, said,

Susan’s vast industry knowledge and leadership experience will be a great asset as we continue to equip crewmembers with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles.”

Also commenting on her new role, JetBlue’s New Vice President – JetBlue University, Susan Pfingstler, added,

Susan Pfingstler joins JetBlue from United Airlines, where she served as Managing Director – Network Operations, Air Traffic Control Strategy. Previously, she held positions with the FAA, IATA and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. She spent the first decade of her career as a NYC-based pilot, with both corporate and Part 121 airlines. Ms. Pfingstler holds a bachelor’s degree in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and is a Board Member of NASA’s Advisory Council Aeronautics Committee, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
