On Monday (May 1st, 2023), at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, Etihad Airways unveiled their new Boeing 787 Dreamliner Business Class seats. Three new 787s will join Etihad’s existing fleet of 39 Dreamliners during the third quarter of 2023. Etihad will become the first airline to feature the new ‘Elements’ Business Class seat designed by Collins on the Boeing 787. The new seat provides guests with a comfortable and spacious environment, with the added privacy provided by a higher suite door. Each of the 32 Business Class seats will have direct aisle access in a 1-2-1 cabin configuration. The seats recline to a 78-inch fully lie-flat bed, and feature a 17.3 inch 4K screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, charging ports and wireless charging, as well as ample storage space.

In Monday’s announcement, Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer, Antonoaldo Neves, said,

Etihad’s new 787 Dreamliner cabin interior showcases further enhancements to our award-winning and industry renowned cabins. Our new Business class takes the guest experience to new heights with the second evolution of the Business Studio which was launched on the Airbus A350-1000 last year.”

In Economy Class, Etihad’s new 787 interior will feature 271 seats which are lighter and more efficient, while delivering exceptional comfort and an increased feeling of space thanks to the smart design and a slimmer profile armrest. Economy guests will also enjoy a 13.3-inch 4K touch screen, which also includes a convenient USB charging port. Etihad’s 787 Dreamliners have also been fitted with a new connectivity solution from Viasat using Ka-band technology, which offers high-speed Wi-Fi streaming capability onboard, as well as Live TV, including news and sports channels.
