Allegiant Announces Nine New Nonstop Routes, Expanded Service on Popular Routes

Allegiant Airlines announced Tuesday the addition of nine new nonstop routes as well as expanded service to San Diego, Las Vegas and Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Today, Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel announced a service expansion in eleven cities including nine new nonstop routes and expanded service to San Diego, Las Vegas and Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The new seasonal route to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) from Central Illinois International Airport will start on June 4, 2020, with introductory one-way fares as low as $49. In Tuesday’s announcement, Allegiant’s Vice President of Planning and Revenue, Drew Wells said,

“With summer quickly approaching, we know that many leisure travelers are looking to secure their vacation plans. These new routes expand our network of affordable, convenient flights and offer vacationers nonstop access to even more popular destinations for their summer adventures.”

Founded in 1999, Allegiant links passengers from small to medium cities to world-class leisure destinations with all non-stop flights and industry-low average fares. The company operates 450 routes nationwide and offers base airfares that are often half the price of a typical roundtrip ticket. The company’s Sunseeker Resorts subsidiary is currently building a major resort in Port Charlotte, in Southwest Florida.
