On Monday (February 22, 2021), Air France announced the extension of booking flexibility and Flying Blue benefit preservation measures. From the onset of the global CIVID-19 pandemic, Air France has introduced exceptional measures to guarantee the peace of mind of guests and team members under the Air France Protect label. The measures include the strictest health protocols at every stage of the travel journey, as well as fully flexible tickets and insurance cover related to the pandemic.

The carrier has now extended their booking flexibility through December 31, 2021, which guarantees fully flexible or refundable tickets on all flights. Air France previously announced that the booking flexibility had been extended through September 2021. Customers will have the option to change their reservations for any reason, obtain a refundable credit voucher if they no longer wish to travel, or receive a refund if their flight is canceled.

Additionally, Flying Blue, the Air France-KLM Group’s frequent flyer program has adapted its commercial policy to preserve member benefits. Some of the key measures have been renewed for Flying Blue members whose qualifying period ends between March and December 2021. First, members will maintain their status, and secondly, their Surplus of Experience Points (XP) at the end of the qualifying period, will remain at least equal the level acquired at the beginning of the qualifying period.
